A Bathroom Renovation Worth Checking Out
As far as before-and-afters go, this one really stands out for its use of a classic pattern: the checkerboard. But rather than stick to a basic black-and-white, the designers at @hearthhomesinteriors decided to use more subdued hues in a dramatic way. The checked pattern in the shower is a standout moment for this bathroom, accenting the brand-new archway they installed in the space.

The team chose to keep a similar color palette before and after, using neutral white and tan tones throughout. A Kitchen Upgrade with Sleek Style
Functional kitchens are fine, we suppose, but why cook in a one-dimensional space when you can add some interest, depth, and style? The kitchen upgrade that @interior.james debuted is proof that a style renovation can bring significant results with sleek, minimal changes.
With just a few tweaks to the flooring and cabinetry, James has transformed this kitchen from outdated to outstanding. The backsplash, in particular, highlights how important texture and depth are when you want to transform a space.
Using our Natural White 4”x4” Zellige tile on the backsplash mimics almost the exact same wall color in the original space. The difference, though, is the rich, luxurious dimension that Zellige tile adds. Because James changed the upper cabinets to a lighter color, he needed to include a contrast between the wood and tile; rather than use color for the contrast, he chose texture. And we couldn’t love it more. The shine of the Zellige tile highlights its color variations and slight imperfections in comparison with the smooth, sleek finish of the cabinets. This whole room gives off a classy, entertaining vibe that we can’t wait to emulate.
