The mercury is rising, but don't sweat it out this summer. There are plenty of made-in-the-shade places to chill out in the glory of A/C or, at the very least, an adequately covered patio. Start with these cool spots to visit in DFW (and beyond!) that deliver style and sustenance — plus some serious Riad Tile inspo. You're welcome!
1. Petite Saison
You can't predict what treasures await you inside Bishop Arts District's Petite Saison, a charming 150-square-foot retail nook in Dallas that transforms every month as a new local artist or designer takes over, bringing a fresh perspective to the space. But what never changes at this petite pop-up is its welcoming, sunny spirit, thanks to its French marinière stripes that pair delightfully with Riad's Apricot 4"x12" Cement tile and White 4"x12" Cement tile, laid in a pattern to echo the stripe on the floor. And don't miss our Honey 2" x6" Thin Zellige tile that warmly greets you at the counter, too. Petite Saison is located at 250 N. Bishop Avenue in Dallas, Texas. 2. Leoncito
Modern Mexican hotspot Leoncito, in Las Vegas, may have some of the best mole poblano and salt-rimmed mango margaritas around. But our go-to order? The main dish of mid-century mod flavor in their outdoor deck. This slice of patio perfection is made possible by Riad's Breeze Block – Sun tiles — and the palm trees don't hurt, either. Leoncito is located at the Red Rocks Casino Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nevada.View this post on Instagram
3. Art's Corner Café
Boldly offering the "world's best cinnamon roll," Art's Corner Café in Ventura, California, has a can't-decide menu that serves up many more indulgent spins on comfort food classics. But what we also adore is that this modern-meets-retro diner is a feast for the eyes. Riad's 2"x8" Green Cement subway tile takes top billing at the bar — and you better believe we'll be ordering an espresso martini to go with it. Art's Corner Café is located at 1907 East Thompson Blvd. in Ventura, California.View this post on Instagram
4. Tyler Kingston Mercantile
The third time's a charm when it comes to Tyler Kingston Mercantile — at least in our book. That's because the company's third store features Riad's Western 8"x8" White & Black Ceramic tile on the façade, beckoning you in to explore incredible art, clothing, and all things Texas. We love how this monochromatic patterned tile reflects the classic-meets-contemporary, western aesthetic of the shop. Tyler Kingston Mercantile is located at 1900 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas, with additional locations in the Bishop Arts District at 250 N. Bishop Avenue, Dallas; and Downtown McKinney at 106 W. Virginia St., McKinney.View this post on Instagram
5. Birdie's Eastside
The boho vibes are impeccable at Birdie's Eastside, which isn't just one of the best restaurants in Dallas — it also is one of the best designed. It boasts a "cosmic country" look that takes inspiration from Texas history and Marfa, along with the "funky uniqueness" of the neighborhood. But what's most crave-worthy to us is seeing Riad Tile on the design menu. We're particularly fond of the midcentury-mod cocktail bar, where our products come out to play. In the space is a combination of our Breeze Block – Sun and 2"x8" Blue Cement Tile, along with custom ceramic tile created especially for this project. Birdie's Eastside is located at 6221 E Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas. Read more about it here. -- Craving more? There are more culinary cool-kids that boast a range of Riad Tile uses in Dallas. For example, check out Bishop Arts District for Dallas restaurant tile that's just as good as the food — or head over to Riad's Instagram page for more inspo.View this post on Instagram
