Forest Green 2x6 - Herringbone
One of the best parts of selling tiles is getting to help our customers turn their houses into their dream homes. That's why nothing makes us happier than seeing how customers have used our tiles to create stunning kitchens, bathrooms, and more. These are the spaces where you start your day and come to unwind when it's over. So, it's incredibly valuable to us that they are unique and comforting places. Today, we're excited to feature Mackenzie Craven. Mackenzie used our 2"x6" Forest Green Zellige tile to create an unforgettable bathroom for herself and her family, and we're shining a spotlight on her incredible work.

A considerable part of what makes this space work so well is that Mackenzie lets the uniqueness of each tile stand out. Our Zellige tiles are Moroccan tiles that have been authentically handcrafted using centuries of tradition and technique. That means every tile has a slightly different hue, a different texture, and catches the light in a unique way. In this picture, you can see how Mackenzie used them in a bathroom full of bright, natural light so that all the variation in the Zellige can come together as one rippling, shimmering whole. The light is also highlighted nicely by setting the Zellige alongside bright white tiles, contrasting the Zellige's uniqueness and giving more light to the rich forest green tiles.

This angle shows what a cozy space Mackenzie has made for her bathtub. The Moroccan glaze creates such dark, rich tones that the forest green wraps you up until you can almost hear the wind whistling through pine boughs. It's easy to imagine drifting off in that tub, in a luxuriating mix of bubbles and lavender scent, for hours. Bringing in her plant and wreath also adds an outdoor flair to the space, and the lighter greens of those decorations add a beautiful contrast to the darker green of the Zellige tiles.

Mackenzie's work is an excellent reminder that when you're creating your bathroom or wetroom, you don't need to let any one design element fill the whole space, and sometimes less is more. As you can see in this picture, most of the bathroom is done in simple, elegant, modern white tile. The forest green takes up comparatively little wall space, creating an even more significant impact. The bright white provides a beautiful contrast to the dark forest green. It also brightens the room so more light can show off the stunning handmade glaze on the Zellige tiles.  Whether you're using Zellige or one of our other cement tile styles, it doesn't need to dominate the space to be the star. Just be mindful when you design the space. That way, you can use your tiles as Mackenzie did in her home to create an unforgettable, gorgeous bathroom.
