Groovy Terracotta: Bringing Warmth and Character
Devan Willis, a design enthusiast and dog mom, transformed her dated bathroom into a vibrant and retro sanctuary using our Groovy Terracotta ceramic tile. With its warm, earthy tones and playful geometric patterns, the Groovy Terracotta tile perfectly captured the mid-century aesthetic Willis was aiming for. Ceramic is also ideal for functionality and durability in a bathroom setting. Its water-resistant properties make it an excellent choice for moisture-prone areas, such as showers and countertops. Plus, it's easy to clean and maintain, making it a practical option for busy households.Natural White Zellige: A Timeless Touch
Willis also incorporated our Natural White Zellige tile into the bathroom design. These handcrafted Moroccan tiles are renowned for their imperfections, irregularities, and unique glaze variations, which lend a timeless and artisanal quality to the space. The Natural White Zellige tiles were used as a border along the shower niche, adding visual interest and enhancing the bathroom's overall aesthetic. Willis ran the tile border along the entire shower perimeter, including the ceiling, creating a cohesive and eye-catching design element.Mid-Century Accents
To complete the mid-century look, Willis added vintage-inspired accents to the bathroom. A sleek, minimalist vanity with tapered legs and brass hardware complements the warm tones of the Groovy Terracotta tile, while the brass faucet in the tub and sink gives the space some sophistication. Iconic mid-century lighting fixtures hang above the vanity and mirror, casting a warm glow and further enhancing the retro vibe of the room. The final touches include:- A decorative wall fan
- Carefully rolled towels
- A black soap dispenser to match the vanity and mirror.
