The hexagonal tile’s white detailing creates a geometric pattern that stretches across the kitchen and beyond. 2. Walls
Another successful use of black tile reveals itself in DIY expert Liz Morrow’s bathroom, where she used Trident Black cement tile on one wall as a focal point. Like the Nola tile above – which boasts five white lines – each Trident Black tile only has three white lines. Trident’s effect is more like looking through a kaleidoscope than at the stars when placed next to each other. We adore how the geometric wall looks combined with this bathroom’s rustic cabinetry with a simple slab countertop. 3. Flooring and walls
We know that black goes well with almost any color, especially when matching it with more black. When combining different tile patterns of the same color, take a note from Tulsa, Oklahoma designer CBC Builds.
In this bathroom, they mixed black spotted terrazzo tile flooring with black tile walls for a matching, maximalist look. The white speckles in the floor’s 12x12 Black Terrazzo tile bring out the white grout between the wall’s tile.

4. Backsplashes
Next is a kitchen in Little Rock, Arkansas, designed by Jill White Designs using a bold 2x6 Black Zellige tile backsplash. This textured backsplash provides contrast when paired with smooth, black marble countertops.View this post on Instagram
The brown and bright white veining in the black countertops brings the whole room together by matching the color of the cabinets and the light reflected throughout the space.

Last but not least, this bathroom highlights Vertex Black cement tile on the shower walls for an incredibly modern, geometric look. The black hexagonal tile, with one white corner, can be put together with like pieces to form various patterns.
Four + Four, two families of designers out of Los Angeles who redesign houses together, used cement tile to create a white line through the black. The small white detailing in the shower wall matches the toilet and sink and the two-inch hexagonal Casablanca Carrara Marble flooring.
The black-and-white tile also complements the neutral-colored leaf wallpaper reflected in the mirror, tying together opposite ends of the room by connecting similar tones.
