It’s easy to feel inspired by the tiles in your home when surrounded by them daily. From kitchen floors and backsplashes to bathroom walls, enveloping your morning with clean-cut, beautiful cement tile can motivate you for the day ahead. The same is true for commercial spaces, which rely on their tile to evoke similar feelings in customers.
Cement tile is perfect for commercial spaces due to its durability. Our handmade cement tile can be used indoors and outdoors in everything from patios to showers, outlasting almost anything you can throw at it. The sleek and stylish nature of our designs matches the ruggedness of cement, making them perfect for high-traffic applications.
Below are some of our favorite cement tiles that decorate restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and city streets to help draw patrons in and add beauty to their space. Take a look and feel inspired.
1. Patio Bar
At an outdoor patio in Palm Springs, Boozehounds used Estrella green cement tile to adorn the bar. The tile’s dark, muted color brings out the palm tree mural by OTO Art and Design on the inside of the cabana’s roof, giving happy hour drinkers a sweet reminder of nearby beaches.

The white in the cement tile matches the barstool’s macrame adornments, the sleek countertop, and the hanging lights overhead. Add in the barstools’ light wood, and you have the perfect bohemian-style island getaway.
2. Storefront

Take our tile outside like Home + Hound did in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood. Using the Maya white cement tile on the lower exterior wall, this shop created a black-and-white geometric maze that draws in customers from the sidewalk. The patterned cement tile is on-brand with the rest of the storefront’s black-and-white color scheme, including Home + Hound’s logo and the planter out front.
3. Wall Art
We love this custom tile we made for TexMex and burger restaurant Tejas in Dallas’ Bishop Arts district. The alternating rosy beige images of Texas and Mexico neighbor the same tiles with deep green outlines of the countries.

The pink-and-white cement tiles framing the window to the kitchen highlight the brighter pink tile below the bar, while the wooden stools and countertop bring out these tiles’ more muted tones. The green cement tiles match the neon sign that declares dedication to the restaurant, the surrounding shelves’ plants, and other earthly, grounding accessories.
4. Bar Tile
Decorate a long bar with Maya blue cement tile to create a restaurant with a relaxed, Mediterranean feel. We love how Sara Garza designed the Wax Space in Dallas with hanging lights and plants.

The high ceilings and fixtures cascading overhead draw the eye down to the bar itself. We take a deep dive into what we love about this space in our blog article all about it, which you can read here. The light brown stools and countertop give a breezy, rustic feel that transports anyone eating or drinking here straight to the ocean side.
5. Stairwell
There’s no such thing as too much pattern. That’s especially true with this staircase, designed by Strut Interiors, at the front entrance to Live Bishop Arts, an apartment and condo building in Dallas.

Our custom cement blue tile’s angular markings blend seamlessly into the atrium’s black-and-white cement tile, then the black square tile behind that. The result is an amalgamation of pattern and color under a rounded roof, housing one fabulous creation.
6. Coffee Shop Wall
Drip Coffee in Dallas used Nola black cement tile to create black-and-white tri-pointed star shapes on the wall behind the menu.

The design by Coevál Studio isn’t too busy to distract from the ordering options but, instead, makes them pop, along with the white, wooden paneling of the bar and the wall above it. Read more about this look at our article dedicated to its masterpiece.
